Objective: The students will create a one page slide show.        

Activities: Students write their own birth certificates. They must include their full name, birth date, parents’ names, and city and state or city and country in which they were born.

This activity leads into the lesson on creating an All About Me life slide show

TEKS: B126.3 (10) Communication (A) (B) (C) The students formats digital information for appropriate and effective communication.

 

Objective: Students will work in a group and create a travel business and then create a travel guide.

Activities: Each group will come up with a business name, agree on a place to travel to, and create and travel guide for this place using PowerPoint. Included in the travel guide should be four of these subtopics: cultural activities, local customs, weather, food, transportation, animals, sporting venues, and places to see.
