Things are starting to come up in the garden!  We still have students coming in the mornings to pull weeds as well as water the seeds in the greenhouse we are starting for the Katy Prairie Conservancy to help with the Blazing Star Project.

We will be having an open house later this month for those of you that are interested in volunteering in the garden or are just wanting to come and see how it's looking after the winter.

                                                Fitnessgram Progress

 

Shadowbriar is 80% complete in Fitnessgram Testing. Students who requested private testing or need a re-take will be given an opportunity at the end of the testing period. I am very pleased with the progress Shadowbriar has made in health fitness. I am encouraged that our results, as compared to last year, will show significant improvement.

 

 

Soccer, Track, Frisbee, and Lead Up Game Skills

·         Appreciate Lead Up Activities

·         Learn rules to a variety of team sports.

·         Recognize aerobic output during game play.  

·         Develop and utilize cooperative skills during game play.

 

 

 

Pedometers

·         Monitor heart rate when wearing pedometers

·         Understand the relationship of caloric intake with exercise and caloric expenditure.

·         Track and graph daily steps within different levels of exercise.
