The following dress code is to be
followed by all students. If a student violates the dress code, the parent
will be called and asked to bring appropriate clothing to the school. The
administrator will determine if the student waits in the office or if the
student may return to class. Repeated violations of the dress code will
result in disciplinary action consistent with HISD’s Code of Student
Conduct. The administration has the authority to determine if a student is
dressed or groomed appropriately for the classroom environment.
SHIRTS
(tucked)

Polo
shirt with collar in any solid color. May be short or long-sleeved.
·
Shadowbriar Spirit Shirts (polo or T-shirt) may be worn any day.
PANTS/SHORTS/SKIRTS/SKORTS/JUMPERS
·
BOYS
– Navy/Khaki uniform pants or knee-length shorts made of cotton
blend twill material.
·
GIRLS – Navy/Khaki uniform
pants, capris or knee-length shorts, skirts, skorts, or jumpers made
of cotton blend twill material.
PANTS, SHORTS, OR SKIRTS MUST FIT AND BE
WORN AT THE WAIST.
NO BAGGY, FLARED, OR FRAYED PANTS
NO CARGO PANTS
NO HIP-HUGGERS, NO LEGGINGS
NO DESIGNS OR EMBLEMS ON ANY CLOTHING.
BELTS
are not required, but recommended to
insure that pants fit at the waist. Belts must be black or brown only and
have a plain buckle.
SHOES

SOLED FULL SHOES/TENNIS TYPE SHOES

No
sandals, flip-flops, slides, Crocs or Wheelies will be allowed.
SWEATERS, SWEATSHIRTS, JACKETS
·
Hoodies will not be allowed.
Sweaters, sweatshirts (without hoods) may be any solid color without designs
or emblems. Jackets may not be worn in the classroom.
JEWELRY
Boys may not wear earrings.
Girls may wear studded earrings – no
hoops or dangling earrings.
Boys and girls may wear one simple
necklace worn inside the shirt.
No bracelets are allowed.
FRIDAY WEAR
As an exception to the above dress code,
on Fridays students may wear
